Coptic Internet Radio

Mina Samaan has begun work on a 24/7 Internet radio station featuring orthodox sermons, liturgies, hymns and praise. It is still in alpha, but feel free to give it a try:

We are testing Sam Broadcaster which automates and controls the station and then it pushes the encoded stream to our Windows Server 2003 with Windows Media Services in the data center.

Mina Samaan and I have been working on the radio station.basically,what we were doing is just as Andrew said in “Live Windows Media Streaming Mini-Howto” but with a couple of changes instead of saying video and audio since it is only a radio then when you come to the configuration say enable then chose wave out mix in order to broadcast anything playing on your machine. we are now working to find the best program to run the station 24/7 instead of using any normal audio player and doing in manually(which we are using now) . the radio is working now but with a little pain for us till we find a good program to broadcast. i will keep you update with the best program we find.

So far after trying a lot of different programs we narrowed them to 2 which are SAM Broadcaster and station play list. We are still testing and hopefully by the end of that week we will deiced and processed with on of them… check back for more details on how to use those programs.
