I passed around this blog to co-workers a couple were thinking of which linux distribution to install at home and also for what to use at work. I found passing around your blog is not only a way to get people to talk about technology but it also opens the door for discussion about our Lord

Overall Ubuntu seem to be working pretty smoothy as a single user desktop, even for more advanced applications such as photo/video editing. I am concerned about managing 100+ computers running it as that I am not familiar with any tools that would help me administer them like Active Directory/Group Policy does with Windows XP.

I use Ubuntu on several boxes here at home (I simply use them for Folding@Home). I haven't tried other variations of Linux, but this one seems to work for what I need. I just don't have the time or IT skills to get into other variants. I could see myself using Ubuntu for a basic web surfing, email, and word processing computer. I don't know that I'd have the patience for much beyond that. Of course, I don't have the patience or $ for Windows either... ;)
