Standard Classroom Projection Setup
Posted by Andrew Mitry under AudioVisual
We have a couple rooms at church with ceiling mounted projectors that were nearing end of life and we needed to add projectors to three additional rooms as well. I figured this was a good opportunity to standardize our setup. I did some shopping online and put in a call to our CDWG rep, Matt Varin, and came up with this configuration. It work’s out to be around $1,200 per classroom.
- Mitsubishi SD205R - 2000 Lumens SVGA DLP Projector
- Quartet Wall or Ceiling Projection Screen 660S - projection screen
- Chief RPA-136 - Inverted Ceiling Mount
- Chief CMA-012 - Fixed Extension Column
- Chief CMA 110 - Projector Ceiling Mount Plate
- Tripp Lite 50ft SVGA Monitor Cable - HD15M/HD15M w/RGB Coax
- Black Box wall plate - 1 HD15 F/F coupler, 3 RCA F/F couplers, and 1 S-Video F/F coupler
We will need some wiring accessories from Home Depot or Microcenter to finish the job, but it shouldn’t cost us too much extra. God willing, a few volunteers and I will be installing all of them Tuesday evening.
