I just got three invites that I can hand out for the beta trial of Joost. Joost is new Internet TV service from the founders of Skype that gives the user a “high-quality full-screen picture.”
At St. Mark’s, online video has taken off – from live streaming to posting videos on demand with Google Video or Light Cast Media – time and time again we have found out that users are thirsty for more. Joost is one way that we could deliver better quality content to our users by taking advantage of peer-to-peer (P2P) technology. Hopefully we will see good Christian content on there soon (maybe even our own)!

With everything crazy that has happened in my short lifetime — the two wars in Iraq, 9-11, Columbine, Virginia Tech — and all of the nay-sayers that come with those events, I am really excited for the future. It’s not just Joost, though new technology sure is nice, it’s the fact that the capital markets are still growing. For the first time in history, all of the first world nations have had positive GDP in the last few years. Amazing. Amazing.
By the way, I still am really excited about Joost, if you’d love to send me an invite.
It definitely is an exciting time…I’ll get those invites out as soon as I can connect to Joost – it seems like they are having a network outage right now.

I just checked and I don’t have any more as of now…sorry.
I can only hope that those who successfully got a Joost invite are willing to pass on any invites they may be entitles to hand out. I’d love one if anyone is looking at “paying them forward”. I can reciprocate with a demonoid invite if that is of any help. But it would be nicer to just be on the receiving end of an act of pure genorosity. I sincerily hope those who had the luck of getting an invite continue spreading them around. A am most anxious to try Joost, and mainly because, at the moment, i got a great bandwidth at my disposal, but i haven’t had luck in getting an invite so far.
