Rick,
You can read the details of our deployment here:
<a href="http://anchorite.org/blog/2006/07/07/jumping-onto-the-voip-bandwagon/" title="Jumping Onto the VoIP Bandwagon" rel="nofollow">Jumping Onto the VoIP Bandwagon</a>

Jeffrey,
Ministry Tech + CITRT made the trip out to OKC worthwhile, I think that Fall CITRT in South Carolina will be two days long.

Thanks for the Asterisk Gathering In Atlanta. It will be a fun event! Get the details here: http://itdiscuss.org/index.php?t=msg&th=1728

Also I hope that the next National CITRT will last longer than one day. I can't justify the trip for one day. :) Make it at least two days next time!

Thanks for sharing this. I have been working on designing a PBX solution for our small church using Asterisk. I manage a Meridian 1 PBX and a Nortel Modular BCS PBX in my professional life. Those are both robust solutions but way too expensive for a small church. Asterisk seems to have the ability to grow with us and remain as simple as we want to make it. Reading your post confirmed that I was looking at the right product. I am working on my hardware "wish list" right now. VOIP is my choice but doesn't allow me to keep cost down be leveraging the current analog phones. I am going to try to build it with our current phones and leave the potential to add VOIP slowly over time. I would like to hear about any pitfalls and learning issues you experienced during your deployment. Please feel free to e-mail me. Again, thank you for your post.
