Coptic Presentations

David Bebawy, a techie deacon at St. George & St. Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Church in Jersey City, has started a new blog and already has a great write up on getting started with Google Checkout for Non-Profits. He also has details on Ctech (Coptic Technology) and Coptic Presentations. David also setup a Google Group for anyone interested in keeping up with Ctech.

Presentation from Ctech on May 27, 2008:

St. George and St. Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Church launched a new web site (running on Joomla!) a few months ago.  On the site you will find an updated presentations page containing the latest Coptic Presentation Applications as well as new interactive lessons that teach you how to read the Coptic language.  Now if only we could get an RSS feed on the presentation page so we know when the new stuff is released…

Virgin Mary & Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church Of Connecticut has released PowerPoint files for the Holy Pascha week based off the book they produced. All presentations are in English, Coptic and Arabic and can be run from any machine with Microsoft PowerPoint, PowerPoint viewer or OpenOffice.org.

You can get the individual PowerPoint files from icopts.com or download them all in a single zip here:

This is the first publicly released Pascha presentation that will work with other presentation software such as MediaShout, SundayPlus or LiveWorship. We currently use MediaShout to script all our services, typically we save the PowerPoint files as JPEG so that we can rearrange the order easily. Once the script is done, all we have to do is click space bar straight through the whole presentation, no jumping around. Also, MediaShout allows to make seamless, on the fly changes (adding in last minute sermon updates) due to it’s dual monitor setup.

Book of PaschaSt George and St. Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Church released several new versions of their Coptic Presentation Application today. All presentations are in English, Coptic and Arabic and can be run from any Windows machine with Microsoft PowerPoint or PowerPoint viewer. I’ve placed the files on S3 for faster downloading.
